We’ve already discussed how traveling broadens your perspective, how it challenges you, and how it builds cultural sensitivity. But we’ve yet to mention one of our favorite things about travel ( it’s actually the reason Myght exists):
If you approach travel with curiosity, an open heart, and an eagerness to learn (and you should!), it’s almost guaranteed to reward you. One big way it can do this is by making you more knowledgeable, empathetic, and sensitive to those around you, which brings us to this reason why we love travel.
Love them or hate them, routines are the backbone of our days. They bring order to chaos, making us feel organized and in control. But with little warning, a comfy routine can start to feel like a stagnant swamp.
Saint Augustine said, "the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." Since he made this pithy observation over 1,500 years ago – when the wonders of the Internet and globalization were unimaginable – we’re not sure that this is still entirely true.
